WP9: Scientific and Cultural Heritage Digitisation

In order to develop a digital system to give access to scientific information, and also according to document dematerialisation, WP9 aims at making scientific and cultural heritage (publications) of Project participant institutions easily available:

• promoting agreements with publishers and other producers;
• developing organisational, methodological, technical and technological solutions to manage, store and long-term preserve documents and their digitised information contexts;
• implementing a multi-disciplinary platform to digitise and share documental sources and research output of National cultural and scientific significance.

An interaction with current digitisation and sharing projects (such as Internet Archive, Gutenberg Project, Google books, Progetto Manuzio) could be possible.
